About the event
The event begins with the opening of an exhibition about Per Kirkeby's early days as a geologist in Greenland. The exhibition displays notebooks and
personal effects from the years when the first traces of his artistic inspiration can be discerned.
Head of Research and Chief Curator Lucas Haberkorn from Museum Jorn sets the framework for Kirkeby's formative years and his thoughts on art and life.
Afterwards, Professor Thomas Bo, Cand.Arch., talks about Kirkeby's work as an architect and brick artist - and about the connection between geology,
bricks and visual arts.
Both lectures will be held in Per Kirkeby-Huset.
